Dear Class,

You did a wonderful job with your last blogs about your neighborhoods. Tonight, we will blog about the New York Times article you read, Latinos Recall Patterns of Attacks Before Killing. I am looking forward to reading your summaries and opinions about the article.

For next week's reading, we are going into the court room to follow the case.

FIGHT FOR CIET CLASSES!

Also, tonight, let's write an email to Governor Paterson, Senator Peralta, and Assemblywoman Nolan. Tell them why this class is important to you, and why CIET Education is important for immigrants,

and ask them to:

  • Restore $2.6 million to Adult Literacy Education funding
  • Ensure a total funding level of $6.9 million in the final 2010-2011 State Budget
  • Sustain funding for GED Testing in New York
