Defense in hate crime trial says killing wass unintended

What did the lawyer say?

Mr. William Keahon said that his client Mr. Conroy is innocent, but if he were guilty, he did not intend to kill or seriously hurt Mr. Lucero.
He also said the jury that none of the witnesses presented by the prosecution testified that they saw his client stab, punch or kick anyone that night.
Mr. Keahon said"How is a wound like that intending to cause death? There is no organ there." and He added the 40 minutes elapsed from the time a 911 call to the time Mr. Lucero arrived at the hospital.
