An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow
confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.

COLLEGE POINT MY NEIGHBORHOOD

Mi neighborhood is called College Point. It is composed mostly of koreans, chineses, and latinos. You dont see too many afroamericans. It is a nice and quiet neighborhood, so you do not hear laud music anywhere. The residential and industrial zone are combined, but most of the businesses are concentrated at College Point boulevard.Where you find all class of them like: delis, restaurants, pizzerias, laundries, beauty saloons, super markets, harware stores, pet shops, smoke shops,cashiers,99 cents stores, doctor officces, and banks. There are many colombian people, and they are owners of restaurants, bakeries, and cashiers. Everybody goes shopping at the big mall in College Point. Over there are stores, as bj's, Target,Old navy,Modell's, and few more. The neighborhood has few schools, and hig schools publics and privates. There is a small, but beautyfull park. It has a nice view from nanhattan, and la Guardia airport, specially at night. It has a few basketball fields, and small mountain with many trees. When you go fishing, you can do it at bay on the park. The veteran's day is celebrated each year, so a parade runs along the College Point boulevard. Our neighborhood is close to Flushing, and it has a down town where there are a lot of people, and all kinds of business. We are close to seven train station, and Citifield, National Tennis Center where every year play the U.S. open. The Flushing Meadow Corona park is the big park close to us. This is the place where colombians and mexicans celebrate their national day with music and dancing, and cook ethnic foods. A soccer championship is held every year.
